Organisation

Ademruimte (meaning breathing space in Dutch) is a new foundation that started in 2019. It started as a research project where a group of specialised designers, healthworkers, urbanists and architects came together to design a public space for rest, contemplation and silence; something that is missing in modern cities. The foundation exist now out of a core group of artist and designers. Goal of the foundation is to develop new biofeedback art projects and present them in our presentation space in the city center of The Hague and other presentation platforms. We focus on development of consciousness through innovative design and the use of modern technologies.

Tena Lazarevic
Tena Lazarevic
Architect
Coming from a architectue background, Tena designs intuitive spaces that play with the senses on much different levels. Her main interest is the function of sound in space and garden design. Tena thinks architecture should be reduced to the minimal impact; loose but humane. It should evolve and perform through the time, surprise and inspire.
Darien Brito
Darien Brito
Generative Design
Darien could be considered both an artist and a technician, distinction that more and more seems blurred in the field of digital practise. Darien is fascinated by micro-sound, immersive environments, machine learning and complexity, as in the field that studies how systems with simple rules can create over time complex behaviour. He is interested in an experiential approach to performance, meaning artistic occurrences that are less guided by concepts and based more on sensorial experiences. Darien is primarily a sonic thinker and later a visual tinkerer.
Bin Yu
Bin Yu
Scientific Research
Bin-Yu, a researcher in the fields of biofeedback and non-invasive sensor technologies from the Technical University of Eindhoven. Bin is focused on the design and development of ECG monitoring applications. He is supporting Ademruimte on the scientific and technologal level.
